About me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Conflict Resolution, Global Governance, and Human Security at UMass Boston. My research focuses on gender in diplomacy and mediation, particularly in the UN system. I have a PhD in Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University.

My first name is pronounced “Katrina”. I am originally from Australia and now enjoy living in New England with my husband and rescue dog.
